FDBE Orientation Programme Builds Creativity, Confidence, and Connection Among New Students

The Faculty of Design & Built Environment (FDBE) organised its May 2026 Orientation Programme on 12 May 2026 at Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Kuala Lumpur, welcoming new students through an engaging and interactive heritage content challenge.
As part of the activity, students were divided into groups and tasked with producing creative video content based on assigned themes. Working within the historical surroundings of Kuala Lumpur, students collaborated to plan, film, and present their ideas while developing communication, storytelling, and visual content creation skills.
Students found the experience enjoyable and meaningful, sharing that the challenge helped them build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and connect with new friends in a creative learning environment.
The orientation programme reflects the university’s commitment to creating engaging student experiences that encourage collaboration, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging from the start of their academic journey.
