FDBE STUDENTS BAG THREE FIRST PRIZE AWARDS IN MIID STUDENTS’ SATURDAY EVENT
It was a rewarding Saturday for the team from the Faculty of Design & Built Environment (FDBE) when the team bagged three First Prize Awards at the MIID Students’ Saturday event, organised by the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID).
Students’ Saturday is an annual event where interior design students from various universities and colleges congregate to compete in multiple design competitions and also to network with one another.
This year’s MIID Students’ Saturday, also known as 20EMPAT.9, was hosted by UCSI University and for the record, First City University College will be hosting next year’s edition to be known as 20LIMA.10 in 2023.
The FDBE team comprising 11 students and two lecturers led by IDr Fakhul Zaman Mohd Yusoff and Phil Su Sing Kwong were at the event participating in the various competitions that included design competitions, furniture installation, short video production and student performance.
Khor Ching Ci and Tan Li Ting, both students of the Diploma in Interior Design programme, have made the FDBE team proud by bagging two First Prize Awards in the Commercial Design and Integrated Design Categories respectively.
Loh Kei Yee, a student of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Interior Architecture & Design bagged another First Prize Award in Hospitality Design Category.
