FIELD TRIP TO BERNAMA – EXPLORING THE MEDIA INDUSTRY

A field trip to Bernama was held on 8th April 2025, organised by the Faculty of Business and Communication.
During the visit, students were given a detailed tour of Bernama’s newsroom and engaged in insightful discussions with experienced journalists. The session focused on the role of news agencies, the importance of accurate reporting, and the evolving nature of journalism in the digital age. Students also participated in interactive activities, where they observed how news stories are selected, written, and distributed across various media platforms.
“The field trip gave me a deeper understanding of the role of media in society. It was fascinating to learn about the fast-paced environment in the newsroom and how everything comes together so quickly to provide the public with the latest news,” said Adriall Avinesh A/L Gana Pragasam from Diploma in Mass Communication.
The field trip provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the fast-paced environment in the media industry and its significance in shaping public perception. It offered valuable insights into the practical aspects of media work, motivating students to think critically about their future roles in the media landscape.
