First City University College Celebrates Outstanding Students at 2026 Student Awards Ceremony


First City University College recently came together to celebrate the achievements of its students at the 2026 Student Awards Ceremony. The event highlighted their excellence not just in academics, but also in creativity, leadership, and community engagement across all faculties.
Students from across the university were recognised for their success in national and international industry-based competitions, while Dean’s List recipients were acknowledged for consistent academic performance. Foundation graduates were also celebrated for completing their programmes.
The ceremony featured the inaugural Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) Best Group Project Award, highlighting student projects that promote community well-being and support the Sustainable Development Goals. A video presentation showcased the winning project and the real-world impact of student-led initiatives.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Best Student Awards. Ong Yi Lyn, from the Foundation in Engineering, Science and Technology Programme, received the Best Student in Foundation Studies Award, while Hay Wen Xuan, a Diploma in Interior Design student, was named Best Student for Excellence in Industry-Based Competitions, following multiple national and international accolades in 2025.
The Student Awards Ceremony reflects First City University College’s commitment to nurturing capable, confident, and socially responsible graduates ready to make a positive impact on society.
