First City University College Doubles National Record at MBOR High-Five Challenge

First City University College is proud to announce its successful participation in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) attempt for the “Most High-Fives in One Minute by a Costume Mascot,” organised by Taiwan Excellence on 25th June 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
With a team of 40 participants, First City University College collaborated with another 30 participants from Taiwan Excellence to pull off an unforgettable feat. In just one adrenaline-packed minute, the team racked up an astounding 186 high-fives, smashing the previous national record of 91 and securing First City University College’s place in the Malaysia Book of Records.
This achievement was fuelled by sheer energy and unity. Special recognition goes to Goh En Qi, Student Council member who donned the mascot suit and drove the record attempt with relentless speed and enthusiasm. His performance captured the spirit of the university community; resilient, vibrant, and ready to rise to any challenge.
Said Goh En Qi, “I had so much fun being the mascot! It was a truly great experience for me. I strongly encourage more students to take part in both internal and external events. It’s a great way to gain exposure and grow beyond the classroom.”
This MBOR milestone is a reminder that at First City University College, learning does not stop at the lecture hall, it is about pushing boundaries, seizing opportunities, and building unforgettable experiences together.
