First City University College Showcases Innovation At Research Seminar 2025


First City University College held its Research Seminar 2025 at First City Hall. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Anuwar Ali on the future of Malaysian research. The morning plenaries featured Dato Abdul Harith Abdullah sharing industry needs and Professor Dr Ahmad Ismail addressing how classroom knowledge can be turned into real world impact.
The programme continued with the presentation of appreciation tokens, the Seed Grant ceremony, and the Research Project Showcase. Three parallel sessions commenced after lunch. Vernon Jude Samuel led the Business and Communication session, Vivian Toh opened the Design and Built Environment session and Dr Ng Keng Yap delivered the talk for the Computer Science and Technology session.
A Special Session ran alongside the parallel sessions, bringing university leaders and industry partners together for a dialogue on building professional excellence through collaboration. This session also introduced postgraduate pathways that include the Doctor of Philosophy in Management, Master of Science in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Master of Design Management and Master of Software Engineering.
The day closed with the best session presentations awards which include Navin Kumar, Yap Xin Yi Allison and Mohd Ridhwan Hilmi. The event highlighted strong academic and industry engagement while affirming First City University College’s commitment to impactful research and talent development.
