FIRST CITY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE & ZCHWANTECH SDN. BHD. ESTABLISH PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE INDUSTRY COLLABORATION AND STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
On 19 July 2024, First City University College and Zchwantech Sdn. Bhd. marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This event emphasizes the deepening of their industry engagement and commitment to providing students with enhanced educational and career opportunities.
The ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Professor Dr. Saw Sor Heoh, Vice-Chancellor of First City University College; Mr. Weladavi Rahula, Head of Student Services of First City University College; Mr. Chay Weei Jye, Chief Technology Officer of ZCHWANTECH Sdn. Bhd.; and Mr. Yap Kok San, Senior Talent Acquisition Executive of ZCHWANTECH Sdn. Bhd. Deans of the Faculty, Heads of Departments, and staff members of FCUC were also present.
The signing of this MOU further reinforces First City University College’s commitment to providing holistic and industry-driven education that prepares students to face future challenges. The partnership with ZCHWANTECH Sdn. Bhd. will offer students the educational opportunities and industry connections necessary to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to thrive in relevant positions.
A highlight of this partnership is ZCHWANTECH’s generous commitment to granting Industry Excellence Awards to outstanding Bachelor’s Degree graduates from the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology and the Faculty of Design and Built Environment. These awards, which will be presented at the graduation ceremony at the end of this month, aim to connect graduates with industry leaders and professionals, strengthen ties between educational institutions and the industry, and highlight the diverse talents and perspectives of First City University College graduates.
