IBS UNVEILED: A JOURNEY INTO THE FUTURE OF CONSTRUCTION

Students from various semesters of the BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design programme embarked on a captivating journey into the future of construction during a study trip to the IBS Component Gallery, CIDB Malaysia. Set against the backdrop of innovation, the trip unfolded as a dynamic exploration of cutting-edge building techniques and prefabricated structures.

With an eager group of 30 participants, the trip which was held on 5 March 2024, promised a wealth of insight and inspiration. Amidst the impressive displays at the gallery, students delved into the intricacies of modern construction, gaining valuable firsthand knowledge of the evolving industry landscape.

The highlight of the excursion was undoubtedly the opportunity to visit IBS Homes, where students were immersed in a real-world showcase of diverse IBS products and systems. The experience after witnessing different types of houses constructed using innovative techniques left a lasting impression on all attendees.

As they returned from the trip, students were not only equipped with a deeper understanding of prefabricated construction but also a renewed enthusiasm for the endless possibilities within the field.
