Information Battle Challenges Students to Think Critically

On 1 July 2026, the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology organised Information Battle, an interactive challenge that encouraged students to strengthen their critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through a series of engaging puzzle-based activities. Participants worked collaboratively to analyse clues, verify information, and solve a mystery while learning the importance of making evidence-based decisions.

Designed and facilitated by students with the support of lecturers, the activity created a fun and collaborative learning environment that promoted communication, logical reasoning, and information verification. The challenge also strengthened interaction between students and lecturers beyond the classroom.

The event inspired students to become more analytical, discerning, and confident decision-makers, reflecting First City University College’s commitment to developing future-ready graduates with essential lifelong skills.
