INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS GAIN REAL-WORLD INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE AT YOUNG CONCEPT DESIGN


On 9th April 2025, students from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Interior Architecture and Design programme visited Young Concept Design Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur for a professional exposure session.
During a mock interview session, students received constructive feedback from practising interior designers on how to present themselves effectively for job interviews. From resume essentials to portfolio presentation, the session offered practical insights into what employers seek in fresh design talent. Students also explored the studio’s creative environment and gained a clearer understanding of the industry’s workflow.
“It helped me better understand how to respond to interview questions and choose a company that aligns with my interests,” said Lee Chai Xuan. Eunice Chua, added, “Though I was nervous at first, I was pleasantly surprised by how confidently I answered. I’ve learned how the process works and will respond even better next time.”
The visit offered a valuable glimpse into the expectations and realities of the interior design industry, leaving students better prepared and more confident for future internship and career opportunities.
