Interior Design Students Gain Workplace Insight at The Makeover Guys

On 25th June 2025, students from the Diploma in Interior Design (DID) programme visited The Makeover Guys’ office and experience centre at Emhub, Kota Damansara. The educational visit aimed to support the students’ ongoing office design project by exposing them to real-world examples of functional, brand-driven workplace interiors.

The session began with an introduction by Vinise from the People & Culture team, followed by a presentation by the Founder & CEO, Mr. Gavin, who shared the company’s mission, design direction, and how spatial planning reinforces team performance and culture. A guided office tour allowed students to observe first-hand how flexible layouts, brand integration, and creative design decisions come together to shape a modern office environment aligned with business goals.

Students found the visit both relevant and inspiring. “The tour helped connect what we’re learning in class to how it actually works in real companies,” said Hew Wen Xuan. Janice Tong added, “I really appreciated how the space was designed to encourage collaboration and creativity, exactly what we hope to reflect in our studio project.”

The experience successfully bridged classroom learning with professional practice, offering students clear design references to apply in their academic work.
