“It’s Okay to Be Not Okay” Video Screening Encourages Conversations on Well-Being

On 10 October 2025, First City University College, in collaboration with the Life-Inspired Network Society (LINETS), held a special video screening in support of World Mental Health Day. Organised by the Student Services Department and the Faculty of Business and Communication, the event brought together staff and students to reflect on emotional well-being and the importance of open conversations about mental wellness.

The highlight of the event was “The Time of Our Life”, a short film produced by students from the BA (Honours) Mass Communication and Foundation in Business programmes. The film portrayed the emotional challenges faced by young people and their journey towards healing. Following the screening, student team lead Navin Kumar shared insights into the creative process behind the production. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to LINETS representatives and the student team in recognition of their contributions.

Gabriella Fauzia from Foundation in Business programme shared, “From studying business to directing my first short film, I’ve learned that every great story starts with understanding people.” The event concluded with a group photo and networking session, leaving participants with a renewed sense of empathy and support for well-being within the campus community.
