SENIOR LECTURER, FACULTY OF DESIGN & BUILT ENVIRONMENT

Job Descriptions:

1. Responsible for the teaching and learning aspects of the subjects including, but not limited to, teaching materials, preparing assessments, setting examination questions and papers, marking examination scripts and other associated projects that relate to the subjects being offered.
2. Review, update and develop lesson plans, schemes of work, lectures/practicals, tutorials, assignments, project brief and class discussions in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum.
3. Implement Outcome Based Education, including Programme Educational Objectives, Programme Learning Outcomes and Course Learning Outcomes and perform PLO-CLO measurement analysis for each module.
4. Conduct research and publish research works in Indexed Journals.
5. Initiate small group tutorials for students in need.
6. Nurture student talents and potential through extracurricular activities.
7. Perform academic programme management tasks.
8. Participate in continuous relevant professional activities.
9. Perform any other tasks that might be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree in related discipline.
2. Candidates with PhDs are preferred. Fresh graduates with PhDs are also encouraged to apply.
3. At least 5 years of lecturing experience in tertiary education, with relevant industrial experience is considered an advantage.
4. Experience in academic programme management and familiarity with MQA requirements and documentation will be an advantage.
5. Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in facilitating teaching and learning.
6. Computer literate with proficient IT skills, adept in MS Office applications.
7. Proven experience in utilising Adobe Creative Cloud software and 3D rendering software will be an advantage.
8. Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
9. Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
10. Good team player and able to work independently.
