MEMORABLE WELCOME FOR FRESHMEN AT FIRST CITY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

The first day for the new students joining the January 2024 Intake was truly memorable. The Student Services Department orchestrated an informative and exciting Orientation Programme for the newcomers, ensuring that they not only acquired essential information but also immediately felt a sense of belonging on the campus.

The welcoming event featured a diverse range of engaging activities and enlightening sessions. The initial segment of the programme kicked off with a Mass Call for the Jan 2024 Intake, graced by the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Saw Sor Heoh, alongside the Senior Registrar Lye Boon Han, Deans of the faculties and Heads of Departments/Centres.

Prof Dr. Saw, in her address, extended her warm welcome to the new students and offered guidance on how they could make the most of their educational journey at First City University College. She also shared valuable tips on how students could level up themselves and become the best version of who they aspire to be.

In the spirit of a warm welcome, the Performing Arts Club and the Inferno Cheerleading Team delivered a splendid performance for the new students. The afternoon session took an energetic turn with team-building activities and icebreaker games, all skillfully organized by the Student Council. These interactive sessions encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, collaborate with peers, and forge strong bonds within their respective groups.
