Mid-Year Recycling Campaign 2025 – A Win for the Earth and the Community

The Mid-Year Recycling Campaign 2025, organised by the Student Services Department ran from 27th May to 13th June and welcomed contributions from all staff and students.

The campaign aimed to promote environmental awareness while supporting a worthy cause; the Lovely Disabled Home, a non-governmental organisation that empowers individuals with disabilities. Throughout the campaign period, students and staff contributed a wide range of preloved items including clothes, books, papers, bottles, and small electrical appliances. The representatives from Lovely Disabled Home arrived on campus to collect the donated items on 23rd June 2025.

Pua Yong Han from Diploma in Graphic Design remarked, “I think this is definitely a good initiative, as not only are we contributing to Lovely Disabled Home, we are also saving the environment!”

The campaign concluded with students gaining a deeper understanding of how sustainability and social responsibility can go hand in hand. By actively participating, they experienced how small, everyday actions—like donating reusable items—can support both environmental conservation and community empowerment.
