Foundation programmes with pathways to various programmes

First City UC offers three university foundation programmes, namely Foundation in Art & Design, Foundation in Business Administration, and Foundation in Engineering, Science & Technology. Each of the one-year intensive course leads to a range of specialisation to be pursued during undergraduate degree programmes in the fields of Business, Mass Communication, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Design & Built Environment, Engineering and Computing.

During the year, you study for three semesters under modules specially-designed to acquire basic knowledge and skills you can expand on when you pursue your degree programme. These modules will help you to discover your passion and interest, after which you can opt for subjects and elective modules related to the disciplines you wish to specialise in during Semesters 2 and 3. Once you complete the foundation course, you would be able to start Year 1 of the degree programme of your choice.
