Preparing Future Innovators for DIGITEX 2026

On 15 June 2026, ahead of their participation in DIGITEX 2026 – Digital Innovation & Technology Exhibition, students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology completed a structured pre-competition onboarding programme designed to prepare them for the national-level innovation competition. Through competition briefings, product refinement, technical rehearsals, and intellectual property registration at the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), students gained valuable experience beyond technical development.
Working on their projects, KeepItSafe and SmartGuard, students strengthened their presentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while learning the importance of professionalism, innovation ownership, and intellectual property protection. Registering their projects with MyIPO also gave them a deeper appreciation of the value of safeguarding their ideas.
The programme reflects First City University College’s commitment to developing industry-ready graduates by equipping students with the technical expertise, professional confidence, and innovation mindset needed to excel in competitions and future careers.
