Reinforcing Real-World Skills – Internship Visit at YNY Technology


The Faculty of Computer Science and Technology conducted an internship supervision visit to YNY Technology Sdn. Bhd. The visit focused on monitoring the internship progress of Phitchapha Omkaew, a student from the Bachelor of Computer Science (Intelligent Systems) (Honours) programme, who is currently placed under the company’s IT Department for her three-month industrial training.
Supervisors Miss Nurul Syafiqa binti Mohd Nor, Miss Sherylaidah binti Samsuddin, and Mr. Sukri bin Mohd Taib led the visit. The team held a productive discussion with YNY Technology’s internship supervisor, Mr. Steven Lai, who spoke positively about Phitchapha’s performance and proactive attitude.
Phitchapha presented a comprehensive overview of her internship, where she highlighted her involvement in automating repetitive tasks using Microsoft Power Automate and integrating an AI chatbot into the GLPI system to streamline IT support operations. She also expressed appreciation for the collaborative work culture and mentorship provided by her colleagues. Her tasks are align with the programme’s learning objectives and expose her to real-world applications of intelligent systems in a corporate IT environment.
The faculty commended Phitchapha’s growth and noted the positive environment provided by YNY Technology. This successful visit reinforces the importance of structured industrial training and supports ongoing collaboration between First City University College and YNY Technology Sdn. Bhd. for future internship placements.
