Research Workshop Series Strengthens Academic Staff’s Literature Review and Methodology Skills

As part of an ongoing research workshop series for academic staff, Sessions 2 and 3 of Developing Research Competency: Literature Review & Methodology Design for Academic Staff were conducted on 24 April 2026. The sessions followed the first workshop, Research Foundations & Topic Development, held on 15 April 2026.

The workshop focused on two key areas of research development. Participants explored systematic literature search techniques using academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, while learning how to develop critical literature reviews and conceptual frameworks.

The methodology session introduced qualitative and quantitative research approaches, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and instrument design. Through guided activities, participants developed basic methodology sections aligned with their research interests.

The sessions provided practical tools to strengthen research planning and academic writing, supporting staff in developing structured research frameworks and advancing scholarly work.
