Secondary School Students Energised By “Play Hard, Study Smart” Workshop

On 4th June 2025, SUCCESS Student Services and the First City University College Recruitment Department organised a motivational workshop titled “Play Hard, Study Smart” at Pusat Perkembangan Cemerlang Jayadiri (PPCJ), Taman Megah. The session involved Form 1 to Form 3 students and featured speakers Mr. Weladavi Rahula, Head of Student Services, and Ms. Teh Chia Li, a licensed student counsellor.

Mr. Rahula focused on smart study techniques, including memory hacks, brain games, and a learning style quiz that helped students discover whether they were visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. His session also included a fun communication game that encouraged creativity and peer interaction.

On the other hand, Ms. Teh’s segment, “Play Hard and Care Smart,” highlighted the importance of well-being and motivation. She guided students to reflect on their goals and shared the academic requirements for university entry.

The workshop ended on a high note, leaving students inspired, informed, and better equipped to balance fun with academic focus.
