SNAPSHOTS OF GROWTH: STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

“Capturing Moment: Contemporary Photography Exhibition” was a captivating photography showcase organized by the talented students of Semester 3 in the Diploma in Graphic Design programme. The exhibition, launched by Faculty of Design & Built Environment Dean Assistant Professor Chua Huwi Huwi, took place from 23 – 27 October 2023 at the White Canvas Gallery.

The heart and soul of this exhibition were the 14 students from Semester 3 whom were supported by their dedicated photography lecturer Mr Yee Tze Yung and Programme Coordinators Ms Thanaletchumy Shanmugam and Assistant Professor Arthur Liaw. These budding photographers had poured their creativity and passion into their work, capturing moments that transcended the ordinary and delved deep into the realm of contemporary photography.

The main highlight of this exhibition was the journey that these students had embarked upon during their 14-week journey from May to September 2023 as students of the Diploma in Graphic Design programme. It was a testament to their growth, as they had honed their skills and embraced new techniques in the ever-evolving world of photography.

“Capturing Moment” offered a diverse array of visual stories, showcasing the essence of life, nature, culture, and emotion. Visitors were taken on an exhilarating journey through these beautifully curated images, each a testament to the artistry and dedication of the students.
