In a brilliant display of talent and creativity, Crystal Tan Mei Xuan, a student enrolled in our BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design programme, accomplished a feat that underscored her exceptional design abilities. Emerging as one of the Top Four Finalists in the esteemed ALCP (Allianz Life Changing Platform) Logo Design Competition, Crystal’s innovative vision and design prowess were exceptional.

The ALCP Logo Design Competition, a platform that garnered widespread participation from numerous institutions of higher learning, was witness to Crystal’s exceptional capabilities. Among the many talented contestants, Crystal stood out with her outstanding design, earning her a well-deserved spot among the elite finalists. This achievement is a testament to her dedication, creativity, and the rigorous training she has received within her academic programme.

The highlight of Crystal Tan’s journey in the competition was her invitation to the glittering Grand Finale/ALCP Awards Night, a prestigious event held at the HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur on 18 August 2023. This event served as a celebration of excellence, bringing together many industry professionals and distinguished guests. Crystal, who is also the President of the Student Council of First City University College, was overwhelmed with the opportunity to present her design at such a distinguished occasion.

In recognition of her accomplishment as the Top Four Finalists, Crystal was honoured with a personalized ALCP gift and a certificate from Desmond Tan, the industry veteran and founder of ALCP. These tokens of appreciation not only symbolize her exceptional achievement but also stand as a source of motivation for her future endeavours.
