Student Council Sending-Off and Installation Ceremony 2026/2027

On 14 March 2026, First City University College held the Student Council Sending-Off and Installation Ceremony at the Centre for Postgraduate Studies, bringing together members of the university community to celebrate student leadership and service.

The ceremony recognised the contributions of the outgoing Student Council members, who have actively represented the student body and supported campus initiatives during their term. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Saw Sor Heoh presented Certificates of Appreciation to the outgoing council members in recognition of their dedication and service.

The event also marked the official installation of the new Student Council for the 2026/2027 term. During the ceremony, the newly appointed members received their letters of appointment and took the Student Council pledge, affirming their commitment to serve and represent the student community.

The ceremony featured speeches by the outgoing and incoming Student Council Presidents, followed by an address by the Vice-Chancellor, who congratulated the outgoing council and encouraged the new team to continue strengthening student engagement and campus life.

The ceremony concluded with a group photography session and light refreshments, marking a meaningful transition of leadership within the student community.
