First City University College has once again asserted its dominance in Design education, unveiling the much-anticipated SEQUENCE 2024 at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Hosted by the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, this event showcased the exceptional projects of graduating students in disciplines such as Graphic Design, Interior Architecture & Design, Furniture & Product Design, and Fashion Marketing.

SEQUENCE 2024 set itself apart as an engaging platform for projects of professional calibre, skillfully crafted by aspiring designers and fashion enthusiasts. The launch, attended by esteemed guests including Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Saw Sor Heoh, renowned designer IDr Christine Rowland, and industry partners, highlighted the outstanding achievements of the graduating students.

In her welcome speech, Prof. Dr. Saw commended the faculty for orchestrating the successful 22nd Edition of the showcase. Emphasizing the commitment to excellence, she pointed to numerous accolades and recent successes, such as multiple awards at the MIID Student Saturday event in November 2023.

IDr Christine Rowland, representing Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), congratulated the students on their remarkable achievements and expressed aspirations for MIID to actively engage in fostering the growth of First City University College students into professional designers. She emphasized the importance of lifelong learning for staying relevant in the dynamic industry.

The launch of SEQUENCE 2024 featured a mesmerizing opening gimmick and the SQ 2024 Showreel—an insightful introduction to the graduates’ remarkable work. The event’s highlights included an exhilarating fashion show where models showcased outstanding pieces created by the graduating Fashion Marketing students.

SEQUENCE 2024, held at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from January 10 to 14, 2024, with the official launch on January 12, 2024, captured the essence of design excellence and celebrated the achievements of the graduating students in a dynamic and engaging manner.
