Five faculty representatives from various faculties and centres at First City University College attended the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) at the World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur on 27 May 2024. The delegation included Dr. Nur Dalila Binti Rizuan, Dr. Norhayati Binti Mohd Zainee, Nursyamira Binti Syaid, Nur Khairunnisa Binti Murnisham, and Siti Hajar Binti Ariffin, and was led by Chief Librarian Ily Aliah Ismail. The purpose of the visit was to immerse participants in the vibrant atmosphere of the book fair and to search for the latest publications relevant to their respective faculties.

KLIBF, organized by the Ministry of Education Malaysia and the National Book Council of Malaysia, is a significant event in the global publishing calendar. Running from 24 May to 2 June 2024, the fair features book launches, seminars, and conventions, attracting book lovers from all walks of life.

The participants had a rewarding experience, engaging in various activities and exploring diverse literary works. They appreciated the opportunity to connect with publishers and fellow book enthusiasts during the visit. The enriching environment inspired them and deepened their passion for books and reading. The team eagerly anticipates future book fair visits, considering this event a highlight of their academic and professional journey.
