What is the education Pathway into the Engineering degree programmes at First City UC after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels?
To enter into the Foundation in Engineering, Science & Technology programme, students after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels will need at least 5 credits including Maths and Physics (Chemistry for Chemical Engineering) and pass in BM and Sejarah. Alternatively, with 3 credits in SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels including Maths and a Science subject, students can join the Diploma in Engineering course before entering into Year 2 of the Degree course.
Students who have just completed their SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels have 2 options to enter into the Engineering Programmes at First City UC.
- First, you can join the Foundation in Engineering, Science & Technology for 1 year and then enter into Year 1 of the Engineering degree programme.
- The Second pathway is to take either the Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering. The Engineering Diplomas will take 2 years to complete and then you will enter into Year 2 of the Engineering degree programme.
SPM or IGCSE/O-Level students who have completed their Pre-University Course from other institutions may enter into the Engineering degree depending on the Entry Requirements.
