MASTER OF DESIGN MANAGEMENT END OF SEMESTER PRESENTATION

The Master of Design Management (MDM) End of Semester Presentation was held on 4 September 2024 involving four MDM students. The students showcased their innovative projects to a panel of distinguished external assessors, providing invaluable industry feedback.

The projects addressed pressing societal and environmental challenges, such as sustainable aquaculture for food security, clothing banks for disaster relief, waste minimisation in the bakery industry, and the role of interior designers in reducing microplastic pollution. One student, Yap Xin Yi, expressed, “The external examiners recognised and gave positive feedback on our research topics, which gives me more confidence to proceed with my work. It opens up new possibilities and directions for my project.”

Students received detailed feedback from the assessors, who evaluated their ability to align with both academic and industry standards. The session broadened their perspectives and revealed new opportunities. Another student, Leong Wei Theng noted, “Presenting to external examiners broadened my perspective. The feedback inspired me to continue exploring my topic despite the challenges of returning to study.”

The Master of Design Management programme continues to foster innovation and sustainability, preparing students to tackle real-world challenges and become leaders in the design industry.
