Events happen in university college

Held on 30th May 2025 at Sunway Nexis, SEQUENCE 2025 brought together the vibrant talents of graduating students from the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, First City University College.
The event featured inspiring speeches by Guest of Honour Mr Bill Keith, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saw Sor Heoh, and president of the Sequence 2025 organising committee, Wong Jee Teng.

Highlights included the official launch, a stunning fashion show, and the Best Showcase Awards presentation to outstanding students from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fashion Marketing, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Furniture and Product Design, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Graphic Design, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Interior Architecture and Design, Diploma in Graphic Design and Diploma in Interior Design.

SEQUENCE 2025 is more than just a showcase, it reflects the university’s strong industry connections and commitment to real-world exposure. The exceptional works presented captivated industry professionals, positioning students as emerging talents ready to make an impact. With a strong track record in producing career-ready graduates, this event continues to bridge the gap between education and employment.

“For this Sequence, we built the stage from scratch and worked on it for a whole month. I feel really proud of myself and what we’ve achieved,” shared Chiam Da Xuan, a Diploma in Interior Design graduate.

Tan Yi Xuan, who completed her Diploma in Graphic Design, expressed her gratitude, “Thank you to the people who have always supported me and to the experiences that shaped me. I’m glad to have finally graduated.”

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Furniture and Product Design graduate Khoo Sin Hui added, “I’m very grateful to have attended SEQUENCE today. Though it was tiring preparing for everything, it was very fulfilling to see our hard work paid off.”
