Educational Trip Strengthens Students’ Understanding of Retail and Spatial Design

Students from the Diploma in Interior Design programme participated in an educational trip on 14 May 2026 involving site observations at Eco Ardence Crest, Fuku Studio, and Setia City Mall. Organised by the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, the visit provided students with valuable exposure to contemporary retail and commercial design practices.
Through the site visits, students explored retail spatial planning, branding integration, façade design, customer circulation, and user experience within commercial environments. The hands-on learning experience encouraged students to analyse spaces from functional and user-centred perspectives while gaining deeper understanding of current retail design strategies.
Students shared that the trip enhanced their understanding of material application, spatial planning, and branding within retail spaces, while also inspiring new ideas for future design projects.
The educational visit reflects the university’s commitment to experiential learning and industry-relevant education, supporting the development of creative and industry-ready design graduates.
